SIMPLER job: Make the crew visible — build familiarity

When live The crew on camera: who we are, the coast we work, why the work matters. Three to five minutes. The handshake before the call.

Coastline Restoration Co. is a small, local crew working the coast and hinterland from the Gold Coast down to Byron Bay. Roof cleaning and restoration, exterior house washing and painting, gutters, driveways, and grounds maintenance.

We're a hands-on outfit, not a franchise. The same faces turn up on your block, the operator who quotes the job is the one who runs it, and the number on the website is answered by someone who actually does the work. We cover both sides of the border, so we know the Gold Coast salt and the Byron hinterland rain are two different problems.

How we work

One operator quotes the job, runs it, and answers the phone. The crew is small — typically a two-to-three-person team, sometimes more for bigger jobs. Same faces on your block each time where the schedule allows.

We don't run a sales team. We don't do a "we'll be there in the morning" and turn up next Thursday. We don't put hero metrics or fake counters on the website. We quote in writing with a real number, we show up when we said we would, and we walk you around the job at the end.

What we know

The work along this corridor splits into two patterns. The coastal strip — Surfers, Burleigh, Coolangatta, Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Byron — is salt, cocos palms, and the wet-season storms that come in hard off the ocean. The hinterland — Mudgeeraba, Murwillumbah, Bangalow — is moisture, mould, and big rains rather than salt. The work setup for each is different, and we adjust rather than treat every job the same.

The credentials we lean on:

  • Work Safe at Heights certified — certificate on request
  • Construction certificate — on request
  • Public liability insurance — certificate available on request
  • Thirty-plus five-star reviews across the Gold Coast, Tweed and Byron

Working across the border

The footprint spans two states, so the rules aren't the same everywhere. Pure cleaning and grounds work (house washing, roof cleaning, gutter clearing, driveway cleaning, mowing) is unlicensed in both Queensland and New South Wales. Where work crosses into licensed territory — roof restoration, painting and the like above the state thresholds — we name the licence that applies, by state, on the relevant service page. We don't make a blanket "licensed" claim that means nothing.

What we've learned the hard way

Every operator with a few years on the tools has a story they've learned from. Ours is the warranty page, which exists because a driveway coating job once didn't hold up the way it should have. We changed how we approach driveway coatings, and the warranty page lays out exactly what we cover and what we don't. It's not the easiest page on the site to write but it's probably the most important one for anyone deciding whether to trust us with their place.

What we don't do

Tree work above 4 metres (call an arborist). Asbestos removal (call a licensed removalist). Interior painting (different operator). Window glass cleaning (different trade). Lawn renovation, fertilising or chemical lawn treatments. Solar panel cleaning. If you ask, we'll give you a recommendation rather than try to do the job anyway.

Phone is the fastest. Quote form if you'd rather write. Either way, you'll hear back with a written number, not a starting price.
